NEOWAY Technologies Private Limited (the "Company") operates a web/mobile application, "LinePe App" (the "App") available on Google Play Store, iOS, and other similar platforms and also operates a website https://linepe.in/ (the "Website"). The App and the Website shall be together referred to as the "Platform". These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the use of or access to the Platform and the Services (as defined below).
These Terms constitute a binding and enforceable legal contract between the Company and a User (as defined below) or any end user of the Services (collectively, "you"). You represent and warrant that you (a) have full legal capacity and authority to agree and bind yourself to these Terms, (b) are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older, and (c) are an Indian resident.
These Terms also include our privacy policy, available at (Privacy Policy) and any internal guidelines, supplementary terms, policies, or disclaimers made available or issued by us from time to time. By continuing to access or use the Platform, or any Service on the Platform, you signify your acceptance of the Terms.
Services
The Platform provides the following services ("Services"):
- Promotional Savings: LinePe may offer promotional savings on eligible bill payments. These are platform-funded benefits, not stored monetary value.
- Bill Payment Services: Users can pay utility bills through the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) / Bharat Connect network.
- Applying Promotional Savings: Where offered, you may apply promotional savings together with cash (via various payment methods) toward eligible bill payments.
- Credit Services: Access to credit facilities through RBI-registered NBFC partners.
Promotional Savings
LinePe may offer promotional savings on eligible bill payments. These are platform-funded benefits, not stored monetary value. NEOWAY Technologies Private Limited may set eligibility, limits, and campaign rules. The following terms apply:
Eligibility and Benefits
- Promotional savings may be offered at the Company's discretion and may vary by biller, category, amount, or campaign.
- Benefits are subject to verification, caps, and limits as shown at the time of payment.
- The Company reserves the right to determine eligibility and to decline or reverse any benefit in case of suspected abuse or non-compliance.
- Duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive attempts to obtain benefits may result in account suspension.
- The amount or rate of promotional savings is determined by the Company and may change.
Promotional Savings Terms
- Promotional savings have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
- They may only be applied to reduce the amount you pay for eligible BBPS bill payments on the LinePe platform, when offered.
- Promotional savings are non-transferable between users.
- The Company reserves the right to modify amounts, eligibility, and terms at any time.
- Benefits may expire as determined by the Company from time to time.
- In case of account termination, any unused promotional benefits may be forfeited.
Prohibited Activities
- Using fake, altered, or fabricated information to obtain promotional benefits
- Attempting to obtain duplicate benefits for the same payment or transaction
- Obtaining benefits on behalf of others without authorization
- Using automated tools or bots to abuse promotional benefits
- Any activity intended to fraudulently obtain promotional benefits
BBPS (Bharat Connect) Bill Payment Terms
The following terms apply to bill payments made through the Bharat Connect (BBPS) network:
- Bill payments are processed through the Bharat Connect (BBPS) ecosystem through authorized partners.
- Each successful bill payment generates a unique BBPS Transaction Reference ID which serves as proof of payment.
- The Company provides instant confirmation of bill payments through the BBPS network.
- All payment data is stored within India in compliance with RBI data localization norms.
- For any disputes related to BBPS transactions, the user may approach the Company's grievance redressal mechanism or escalate to BBPS/RBI as per the escalation matrix available on the Grievance page.
Promotional Savings + Cash Payments
- When paying bills, users may choose to use promotional savings along with a cash payment method (UPI, cards, net banking, etc.), where offered.
- Promotional savings reduce the cash amount payable by the user.
- Important: The actual bill payment transaction processed through BBPS is for the full bill amount. LinePe internally applies promotional savings as a discount, reducing the cash you need to pay.
- The biller receives the full payment amount through the BBPS network.
Payment Gateway Terms (PayU / Razorpay)
LinePe may use third-party payment gateways including PayU and Razorpay for processing payments:
- All payment transactions are processed securely through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.
- Users must not share their OTP, CVV, PIN, or any sensitive payment credentials with anyone.
- The Company is not responsible for any unauthorized transactions resulting from user negligence.
- Payment gateway-related disputes will be handled as per the respective gateway's terms and conditions.
- Transaction processing fees, if applicable, will be clearly disclosed before payment confirmation.
On-Boarding
- To avail of the Services, a User would be required to create a profile/sign-up on the Platform using his/her phone number among other details.
- The User is solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of its account.
- The User expressly agrees to be liable and accountable for all activities that take place through its account.
- The User agrees to receive communications from the Company regarding transactions, rewards, promotional offers, and other matters related to the Services.
Know Your Customer Policy
- The Company may require Users to upload certain information and documents to verify their identity ("KYC Documents").
- The User authorizes the Company and any third-party service provider to process KYC Documents.
- The User agrees to provide valid, true, complete, and up-to-date KYC Documents.
User Responsibilities
- The User represents and warrants that all information provided is valid, complete, true, and correct.
- The User shall be solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- The User shall not use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
- The User shall not infringe any third-party proprietary rights.
Intellectual Property
- All rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform and Services, including all intellectual property rights, are owned by or lawfully licensed by the Company.
- The User should assume that everything on the Platform is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
Term and Termination
- These Terms shall remain in effect unless terminated.
- The Company may terminate a User's access at any point if the User violates these Terms.
- Upon termination, any unused promotional benefits and outstanding amounts shall be forfeited/payable as applicable.
Disclaimers and Warranties
- The use of the Services is at your sole risk.
- The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- The Company does not guarantee any specific amount of promotional savings for any bill payment.
- The Company is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect bill details entered by the user.
Indemnity
You shall indemnify, defend, and hold the Company, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their officers harmless from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and costs arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
Fees/Charges
The Company reserves the right to charge convenience fees for the Services. Any applicable fees will be clearly disclosed before transaction confirmation.
Jurisdiction and Governing Laws
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Courts in Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all issues arising out of these Terms or the use of the Services.
